Canon Announces Resolution in Patent Infringement Case in Russia:

Canon has successfully concluded a patent infringement lawsuit filed with the Moscow Arbitration Court against Russian entities. The lawsuit challenged the defendants’ activities related to the introduction of certain toner cartridges into the market, which Canon claimed infringed its Russian Federation patents No. 2657119 and 2568045. On July 30, 2021, after nearly two years of legal proceedings, the Moscow Arbitration Court ruled in favor of Canon. The court’s decision confirmed that the disputed toner cartridges sold by LLC Topprint violated Canon’s patents and awarded Canon 2,500,000 rubles in compensation.
