Complete Draft

Complete draft patents, as the name suggests provides the complete specification of an invention. Complete drafts are filed when the invention has been completed to its full extent and the applicant is ready to prosecute the same before the Controller of Patents. A complete draft contains the description of the invention along the claims that are to be secure by the Applicant.

If a complete draft patent contains two different inventions, it can further be divided into two different inventions. Filing a complete draft helps in smooth proceedings of the application in compare to provisional draft. Since the applicant does not have to wait 12 months, in case of Provisional draft. Complete draft is filed when an applicant is certain with the scope of invention that has been created. If there are some additional information that the applicant approached upon after filing of a complete draft, the applicant can make amendments to the same.
